Bed Rest at 32 weeks!!

Well it happened, I was determined not to get to this point but I guess its not up to me:) I went to the hospital last night and was given a shot to stop the contractions. We found out that I am dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced. I had an ultra sound and steroid shot today. The babies look great and healthy. I also had a doc apt today and he said I am allowed to do NOTHING!! I just have to let everyone do things for me... yikes, that is not easy for me. The doc is hoping that the babies won't come any sooner than two or three weeks but another 4 would be best. Also we found out a few weeks ago that Baby A (Emily) has a hole in her heart. Its moderate in size and will have to be watched. We are hoping and praying that it will grow smaller or close up all together before she is born. Keep us in your prayers! Thanks to all for the love and support!!!

ps. any good books or ideas to keep busy without being busy would be great!!!:)

Hi Loni! tried to leave a comment last week, but my computer was having problems. You look so good! I cannot wait to meet these to little angels inside of you. And LISTEN to your doctor!!! The girls were born at 31 weeks which resulted in a miserably long 5 week stay in the NICU. NOT worth it. I'm sure the girls may both spend some time, but the longer you can keep them baking the better. I know Abby is in school, but on Saturdays I would love to take Abby and Izza out and we can do stuff so they can get their wiggles and you can get your rest. Let me know how I can help. I MISS you guys!

Loni do I feel for you!!! I went into labor at 26 weeks with my Hailey, and was on strict bed rest and could do absolutely nothing! I ended up going full term they had to start me because the meds worked to well. I am really sorry, but like they said to me you sacrafice for them. Mostly to pass the time I made tons of bows and binkie clips. For their benefit I hope you keep them in a while and GOOD LUCK!!

You are probably the last person I could imagine laying around letting everyone do everything for you. Maybe this will be good for you Loni!(if you are trying to look on the bright side) Wish I was still across the street to help out with the girls! Good Luck, you are coming to the home stretch!

Loni, this must be so hard for someone who is such a goer! (is that even a word?!) Hang in there, you are making a lot of sacrifices for these little darlings, but just like your other 2 girls I am sure that they will be worth it! Make it fun for you and the girls, get magazines that you never have time to read, have movie days with the girls in bed and enjoy a chance to read...because who knows when the next time that will be for you once these sweeties come along!

Bed rest! I'm so jealous! I know that sounds weird, but I have a very busy/needy/spoiled baby and I would love to spend a week in bed reading, watching movies and sleeping. That sounds so glorious I can't even imagine such a wonderful vacation! But, alas, with three kids, that will never happen for me. As for books, I would read Lonesome Dove. It's super long but such a great read. If you haven't read the Twilight series, those are a must as well.
