Projects......

My "bed rest projects"! Bow board for Emily and Olivia's hair bows and flower clips and letter plaques for each of them. I have had plans to get these done for months, I guess having to sit still is a good thing for me. I can clear my head and get some things done! Well this only took and hour and half so........... any other crafty ideas??

ps. one week down.......bed rest is working, the doc is hopeful for another week or two!!

The long wait is over!!

Abbie finally started school on Monday. Her school was suppose to be in a brand new building and they have had set back after set back. They decided to have the first few days at the park next to her school and do field trips. Abbie is loving it. She has so many stories everyday! She has made a lot of new friends and says she isn't shy anymore! These pics were taken after a carnival day at the park, she had to have pics with the butterfly on her cheek. She has made one friend in particular, Kale, (a boy) she came home very excited because he likes to make her laugh and do silly things and then they played a game......... "lets see who can hug the hardest" She said he won because she wasn't even trying!! Yikes, Ben is a little concerned about this boy! :) We are very proud of her and all that she is doing, she is having fun and growing up so much!

Bed Rest at 32 weeks!!

Well it happened, I was determined not to get to this point but I guess its not up to me:) I went to the hospital last night and was given a shot to stop the contractions. We found out that I am dilated to a 2 and 70% effaced. I had an ultra sound and steroid shot today. The babies look great and healthy. I also had a doc apt today and he said I am allowed to do NOTHING!! I just have to let everyone do things for me... yikes, that is not easy for me. The doc is hoping that the babies won't come any sooner than two or three weeks but another 4 would be best. Also we found out a few weeks ago that Baby A (Emily) has a hole in her heart. Its moderate in size and will have to be watched. We are hoping and praying that it will grow smaller or close up all together before she is born. Keep us in your prayers! Thanks to all for the love and support!!!

ps. any good books or ideas to keep busy without being busy would be great!!!:)

Thanksgiving Points Discovery Garden

I love Thanksgiving Point! We had so much fun running around the garden and getting lost in the mazes. The kids were in charge so we got lost many times, it was a blast! There is a tunnel you can slide down to get into the bear cave so that was a hit for a while. Its been so nice to have this stuff close at hand.

Sidewalk Chalk + Water = Hours of FUN!

We got home from the Gardens and the day was still young. With daddy out of town we had to come up with another activity to keep busy until bedtime. Abbie had a great one, mix water with the chalk... it turned out great!! They had a blast for a couple of hours made a big easy to clean up mess and I got to sit on the bench and relax while I watched them! The end result was two tired messy kids. We took baths and went to sleep after a long fun day of activities!!

Tuckered out!

Izza had so much fun with the animals today that it wore her out. She fell asleep on the drive home with her mickey mouse cell phone and legs crossed.... both Abbie and I thought it was too cute not to take a pic!

Farm Country

I am trying to get as much outdoor activity in before it gets too cold!! We went the Thanksgiving Point's Farm Country today. The girls had a blast. We haven't been since last October so it was all new to Izza she ran around so excited about everything. We saw baby goats, pigs, chickens, horse, sheep, peacocks, turkeys, and of course we fed the ducks forever, they are too fun! Then they couldn't wait to ride the ponies. Abbie hopped on all by herself and Iz was equally excited... until the little boy next to her started to cry (you can see him in the pic with abbie on the horse), that made Iz nervous and she refused to ride!! We got her ticket back and used it for a carriage ride instead, the safer way to go, maybe next time :)

The Nursery!

I have finally been able to get the nursery set up! Our house has a sitting room in the master bedroom so its been turned into the nursery! Its perfect, things fit nice and snug (what babies like, right?) Just a few finishing touches left. I can't believe we are down to 6 or so weeks...... Its still not a reality that two babies will be coming home with us!! We can't wait to meet them!!
Abbie and Izza tried out the cozy-ness of the cribs for the babies. They were both pretending to sleep!
ps. I know the window coverings are awesome, but temporary until the shutters are done!:)
